Who writes, who reviews, and how.
The health content on sokrate.fr is written by a doctor, reviewed by a second board member (a doctor or a Doctor of Pharmacy), based on official sources and dated. This page explains who signs it and the method we follow.

Our method
- 01
One doctor writes, a second board member reviews
Every health article is written by a doctor on the board and reviewed before publication by a second member, either a doctor or a Doctor of Pharmacy. The names of the author and the reviewer appear at the top of the article.
- 02
Official or peer-reviewed sources
Guidelines from the French National Authority for Health (HAS), texts and pages from French National Health Insurance (Assurance Maladie) and the French Ministry of Health, and peer-reviewed scientific publications. Every figure links to its source, listed at the end of the article.
- 03
No diagnosis, no promises
Our content explains and guides. It does not replace a consultation or the advice of your regular doctor (médecin traitant), and it never announces an individual outcome.
- 04
Dated and kept up to date
Publication and last-review dates are shown. Reference guides are reviewed every quarter and articles every year, or as soon as an official guideline changes.
- 05
Independent from advertisers
Sokrate runs no advertising and receives no payment from pharmaceutical companies or device manufacturers for its content.
- 06
Transparent about our interests
Sokrate publishes a service that helps people prepare for their prevention check-up. When an article mentions this service or compares offers, it says so explicitly and presents the alternatives, including free ones.
How an article is produced
- Scoping: the question to answer, the intended audience and the reference sources (HAS, French National Health Insurance, scientific publications).
- Writing by a doctor on the board, with a direct answer at the top of the article, sourced figures and an FAQ.
- Cross-review by a second board member: medical and scientific accuracy, consistency with the regulatory framework and the care pathway, no promises.
- Dated publication, with the names of the author and the reviewer, sources at the end of the article and the medical disclaimer.
- Revision: quarterly for reference guides, yearly for articles, and immediately when an official guideline changes. The update date is displayed.
